Since Josh Gast was a child with a crayon he has always written on walls. Growing up in Huntington Beach and Garden Grove ,CA; He was introduced to Graffiti, Street Art, Gang Tags, and The Punk Rock Skateboard Culture at a young age. Through his teenage years drawing Anime,Comic Book Characters, and being apart of a prolific Graffiti Crew, Josh Gast's Style Started to form. Drawing was his escape and it was through "Blackbooks" , "Handstyles", and "Slap-Tags" he Started getting used to Sharpies and permanent in being his main medium when he would draw. After Highschool he took a Tattoo Apprenticeship for 2 years and Tattooed For 3years after. Due to Over saturation of the market and losing the love for the tattooing medium, Josh Gast returned to his roots. PUNK ROCK, HIPHOP, GRAFFITI, TATTOO, SURF GHETTO STYLE. ARTWORK, with a medium he is comfortable with. And able to do more with. HIS SPECIALITY IS Lettering , Traditional Tattoo flash, Pin-ups, and Portriats.. Currently He does Freelance and Commisioned Design and Illustrations for Several Clothing lines. SKATEBOARD companies, Band/ Musician Album Covers and Merchandise, And Tattoo Flash. He Also Currently Started Tattooed Shoes... Hand Drawn Custom Shoes & Josh Gast Thrash Caps. Hand Painted Hats..
